Preparation for Easy Gingerbread Cookie Dough
Let’s see how to prepare the easy gingerbread cookie dough.
First, place the sifted flour and baking soda in a bowl, then add the sugar, egg, honey, and powdered spices, and mix well with a spoon. Next, add the butter to the mix, ensuring it is soft, and start kneading well with your hands. Then, transfer to a floured surface and continue kneading with your hands until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough. Once ready, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for at least half an hour to firm the butter. After the time has passed, remove it from the fridge, wait 5 minutes, then roll out your dough with a rolling pin to about 1/4 inch thick, and prepare your cookies.
Notes
I use a little nutmeg and cinnamon, but if you want an even spicier flavor, just add a pinch more.
