Preparation of Fried Cod in Batter
Let’s see how to prepare fried cod in batter.
First, clean the fillet by removing the skin by lifting it from the tail and pulling it off, also remove any bones. Then wash and dry the cod well, be careful not to salt it as it is already salted, then cut into the desired size pieces. If you can’t find it pre-soaked, take it dried, just put it in a bowl full of water for at least 12 hours.
In a bowl, combine the flour with the eggs, mixing well to avoid lumps, then gradually pour in the milk, still mixing, until a dense batter forms. Put plenty of oil in a pan and heat it on the stove, in the meantime, dip the pieces of cod in the batter and as soon as the oil is hot, fry the pieces of cod. Drain well on absorbent paper or frying paper. Serve with lemon slices and a nice sprinkle of chopped parsley. Enjoy it hot as it will be crispy on the outside and soft inside.
notes
If you want the fried cod to be even more flavorful, you can put chopped parsley inside the batter. It keeps in the refrigerator for up to 2 days in a closed container.
