The heart-shaped Margherita Pizza is a variant of the classic Margherita, a whimsical and romantic option ideal for celebrating Valentine’s Day with your loved one, also perfect for other important occasions. With great ingredients, you’ll shape a special pizza, pleasing to the eye with mozzarella cut into heart shapes and wonderfully delicious for the palate. Naturally, you can get creative with the toppings, for example, instead of mozzarella, you could cut salami into heart shapes.

Preparation of Heart-Shaped Margherita Pizza
Let’s see how to prepare the heart-shaped Margherita pizza.
First, slightly warm the water and add the oil. Put the flour in a bowl, add the sugar and yeast, start mixing while adding the water with the oil, and finally add the salt, continuing to knead. Then work well on a floured surface until smooth and soft and let rise covered with a cloth or plastic wrap for at least 8 hours, it should double in volume. Once risen, divide it and form into balls, let rise for another 2 hours.
Take the dough and spread it on an oiled baking sheet, try to give it a heart shape if you can; otherwise, cut the dough with a knife to shape it. If you have a heart-shaped baking pan, you can use that directly.
Season the tomato with the salt, oil, and oregano, top the pizza, place in a hot oven and bake at 392°F for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the mozzarella and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out mozzarella hearts. After 10 minutes, remove the pizza from the oven and top with mozzarella hearts, return to the oven and complete baking for another 8/10 minutes.
Your heart-shaped Margherita Pizza is ready to be enjoyed by your loved one.
notes
For a more romantic touch, I’ve also cut the mozzarella into heart shapes, but you can easily use regular mozzarella.
