Marinated Olives with Chili

The marinated olives with chili are very tasty, perfect for aperitifs or appetizers, delicious as a side dish to accompany your main courses, they are very easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups green olives in brine
  • 1.5 cups black olives in brine
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • as needed extra virgin olive oil

Preparation of Marinated Olives with Chili

  • Let’s see how to prepare marinated olives with chili.

    1- Drain the olives and rinse them under running water and dry with paper towels. Make a small lateral incision or slightly crush them, helping yourself with a large knife, such as a bread knife, to better flavor the olives.

    2- Chop the garlic and chili into pieces, put them in a bowl, add the oregano and a couple of tablespoons of oil, mix well. Add the olives and mix, adding a little more oil if needed. Place the marinated olives with chili in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator, remembering to stir occasionally. After about 7/10 days, you can start enjoying them.

Notes

They can be stored in the refrigerator in a closed container for up to 30/40 days. If you like, you can also add green olives stuffed with pepper.
