Today I propose you the Mont Blanc in a cup.
Mont Blanc takes its name from the ever-snowy mountain between the Aosta Valley and Haute-Savoie.
It is a dessert with a spoon made with chestnuts, cocoa, and whipped cream. The preparation of this dessert is quite simple, just boil some chestnuts to get a chestnut puree that is placed on a plate to form a mountain, then garnish everything with whipped cream.
My version in a cup is suitable for dessert on any occasion but especially for Christmas holidays.

- 1 packet vanillin
- to taste rice milk
- 2 tbsps gluten-free unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup sweetened vegetable cream
Tools
- 1 Small Pot
- 1 Saucepan
- 1 Food Mill
- 1 Piping Bag
- 6 Dessert Cups
Preparation
Let’s see how to prepare Mont Blanc in a cup.
Boil the chestnuts for 10 minutes in a small pot of water, then peel them, removing the inner skin too. In a saucepan, put the peeled chestnuts, cover them with vegetable milk at least 1 inch above, and cook them over low heat for about 1 hour… the cooking time also depends on the size of the chestnuts, it is advisable to test with a fork if they are cooked.
When they are almost cooked, add the sugar and vanillin and cook for another 10 minutes.
Pass the chestnuts through the food mill, adding a little cooking milk until it becomes smooth and creamy, then add the cocoa, mixing well.
Meanwhile, whip the cream and set aside.
Put the prepared chestnut cream in a piping bag and arrange it in the cups trying to make a mountain, you can do it in layers as I did, one layer of chestnut cream and one of cream, or alternatively you can make a single mountain of cream… covered with whipped cream. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa.
notes
The most gluttonous can add dark chocolate chips to the Mont Blanc in a cup, if you love it and want a stronger flavor, you can add a tablespoon of rum. It keeps for a maximum of 2 days in the refrigerator.
