  • 2 eggs

Steps to make Christmas brownies with chocolate chips and no butter

  • To prepare Christmas brownies with chocolate chips and no butter, first melt the dark chocolate either in a bain-marie or in the microwave. I chose to melt the chocolate in the microwave. Then let it cool. In the meantime, prepare the batter. In a bowl, place the eggs and sugar and start creating a frothy mixture with the help of an electric whisk or a stand mixer. Then add the liquids: the corn oil and the whole milk, pouring them in a stream, ideally at room temperature. Once the chocolate has cooled, add it to the mixture along with the sifted all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Lastly, add the chocolate chips and mix everything well.

  • In the meantime, preheat the static oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a baking pan lined with parchment paper, I used a 11×9 inch pan, and pour the mixture into it. If you find the parchment paper struggles to stay in the pan, I recommend wetting it with water and then squeezing it well. I always do this. Then bake the brownies for about 20 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test to see if they are cooked. The inside should remain soft.

  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
You can then take the cake and cut it into Christmas shapes of your choice. I chose the Christmas tree, the gingerbread man, and the candy cane. Finally, I decorated them with powdered sugar on top and added colorful chocolates.
