Steps to make Christmas puff pastry trees with jam
To prepare the Christmas puff pastry trees with jam, first unroll a sheet of rectangular puff pastry on a surface, keeping its parchment paper underneath. On the first roll of puff pastry, put some jam, I chose peach, but you can use whichever you prefer. Lay the second roll of rectangular puff pastry on top and seal the edges well. Now take a pastry wheel or a knife and cut vertical strips.
Now fold the strip onto itself, trying to recreate the shape of a tree with the bottom part longer and the top shorter. Then close the tree with a wooden skewer or a toothpick. Meanwhile, preheat the static oven to 392 degrees Fahrenheit and when it is hot, bake for about 15 minutes until golden.
Remove from the oven and if desired, dust with powdered sugar.
Storage and tips
You can store the trees in an airtight container for a couple of days.
