Kale chips in an air fryer are a great healthy alternative to potato chips. They are tasty, flavorful and above all healthy. I usually make chips in the oven but I wanted to try them in the air fryer and I found they turn out even better because they are even crispier! For the seasoning you can choose to your taste: use only salt, black pepper and a light spray of extra virgin olive oil, or add spices and aromatic herbs. If you like chips you can also try:

Steps to make kale chips in the air fryer
To prepare kale chips in the air fryer, first clean the kale well. Take one leaf at a time and remove the tough central rib. To make this easier, make a small incision at the base of the leaf and, sliding your hand upward, you should be able to strip away the tender part of the leaf. Alternatively, use a knife, keep it close to the central tough rib and cut the leaves off. Now wash the leaves thoroughly and dry them well with a cloth or paper towels. Arrange the leaves in the air fryer basket — please do only a few at a time so they do not overlap. Cut the leaves into pieces that are not too small and put them in a bowl; add salt, pepper, sweet paprika and, if you like, aromatic herbs. I also added a mix of chopped herbs such as thyme, marjoram, rosemary and sage. Then use a mister or spray bottle to lightly apply extra virgin olive oil to the kale.
Cook the chips in the air fryer at 356°F (180°C) for 3 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer. I did several tests and mine cooks them well at 356°F. If I set it to 392°F (200°C) they become scorched and bitter. Try a few tests, and halfway through cooking you can try shaking the basket to toss them. Your chips are ready to crunch on! Simple but delicious!
