Steps to make Nutella puff pastry swirls
To prepare Nutella puff pastry swirls, first unroll a sheet of rectangular puff pastry. Spread a generous amount of Nutella cream onto the pastry using a spoon or spatula. Close the pastry well with another sheet of rectangular puff pastry and overlap it. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut strips of the same size.
Now, twist each strip onto itself and roll them to form swirls. Try to close them well so they don’t open during baking. Place each swirl on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and preheat the static oven to 356°F (180°C). Brush the swirls with milk and then bake them. Let them cook for about 20 minutes, they should be golden.
Your swirls are now ready to be served! If you wish, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar!
Storage and Tips
If you don’t like Nutella, you can use jam
If you find there are too many swirls and want fewer, you can use just one sheet of puff pastry and fold it in half
