Oven-Baked Carrot Sticks

The oven-baked carrot sticks are an easy and quick side dish to prepare. The carrots will be very sweet and pair perfectly with grated Parmesan cheese, which is more flavorful, and various herbs such as sage, thyme, and rosemary, chopped parsley, and dried oregano. It’s a perfect side dish to pair with meat and fish dishes. It is an excellent dish for vegetarians or for children, who might eat vegetables more willingly this way. Ingredients for preparing oven-baked carrot sticks

  • 7 oz carrots
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (generous)
  • to taste chopped parsley
  • to taste herbs (Sage, rosemary, thyme)
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil (generous)
  • to taste dried oregano

Steps for making oven-baked carrot sticks

  • To prepare oven-baked carrot sticks, first, clean the carrots well, remove the ends, and peel them with a peeler. Cut each carrot in half and then into sticks. Cut them even smaller. Place the sticks in a large bowl, adding two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, a pinch of ground black pepper, herbs to taste; I added sage, rosemary, thyme, a generous tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley. Mix everything well, so that the ingredients are evenly seasoned.

  • Now take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Spread the sticks on the parchment paper, separating them, another drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 35 minutes.

  • Now take your carrot sticks out of the oven, let them cool slightly, and then enjoy them.. delicious!

Store the carrot sticks in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to two days.
