The phyllo dough apple and cinnamon cake is an easy and quick dessert to prepare using just one roll of phyllo dough, apples, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and oil. It is a super crispy, delicious cake, a little different from the classic apple cakes, but it is truly special and very good. That crispy touch makes the cake even better! If it seems too simple, you can add raisins and nuts. I brushed the various layers with corn oil, but if you prefer, you can use olive oil or butter. If you like phyllo dough, you can also try:

Steps to Make the Phyllo Dough Apple and Cinnamon Cake
To prepare the phyllo dough apple and cinnamon cake, first clean the apples, peel them, core them, and slice them thinly. Place the apple slices in a bowl and add lemon juice so the apples do not turn dark. In a pan, melt the butter, add the apples, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and let them cook for about 15 minutes on low heat until they dry out. Stir with a wooden spoon occasionally.
Now take a 9-inch cake pan. Pour some oil and brush the bottom and sides well, I chose corn oil but you can also use olive oil or melted butter. Then place a sheet of phyllo dough on top, leaving the edges outside, brush it with oil, and do the same with 4 sheets of phyllo dough. Place half of the previously cooked apples on top, take another two phyllo sheets and crumple them on top, then brush them with more oil.
Add the remaining apples on top, place another sheet of phyllo dough on top, brush it, add two more, top with a sprinkle of brown sugar and cinnamon, and brush with a little more oil. Then close the cake with the edges of the first sheets and brush again with oil.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (static) and then bake the cake. Cook it for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, let it cool, and serve it.
Storage and Tips
The advice is to eat it immediately, but if you want, you can store it for a maximum of one day. Phyllo dough remains crispy right away, but over time it becomes a bit soft.
If you want, you can add raisins, pine nuts, and other dried fruits to the apples.
