The phyllo dough apple and cinnamon pie is an easy and quick dessert to prepare with just one roll of phyllo dough, apples, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and oil. It’s a super crunchy, delicious pie, a little different from classic apple pies but really special and very tasty. That crunchy touch makes the pie even better! If it seems too simple, you can add raisins and nuts. I brushed the various layers with corn oil, but if you prefer, you can use olive oil or butter. If you like phyllo dough, you can also try:

Steps to make the phyllo dough apple and cinnamon pie
To prepare the phyllo dough apple and cinnamon pie, first clean the apples, peel them, core them, and slice them thinly. Place the apple slices in a bowl and add some lemon juice to prevent the apples from browning. In a pan, melt the butter, add the apples, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and let it cook for about 15 minutes over low heat until they dry out. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.
Now take a 9-inch baking pan. Pour some oil and brush the bottom and sides well with a brush; I chose corn oil, but you can also use olive oil or melted butter. Then place a sheet of phyllo on top, leaving the edges out, brush it with oil, and do the same with 4 sheets of phyllo dough. On top, lay half of the previously cooked apples, take two more sheets of phyllo, crumple them on top, and brush them with more oil.
Add the remaining apples on top, place another sheet of phyllo dough, brush it, add two more sheets, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, and add a little more brushed oil. Close the pie with the edges of the first sheets and brush again with oil.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then bake the pie. Cook it for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool, and serve.
Storage and Tips
The advice is to eat it immediately, but if you want, you can store it for a maximum of one day. The phyllo dough stays crunchy initially but becomes a bit soft over time.
If you wish, you can add raisins, pine nuts, and other dried fruits to the apples.
