Well, this time I wanted to create something really special, using a vegetable like baked cauliflower which, with the addition of tomato sauce and mozzarella, has taken on the appearance of a real pizza. A quirky idea for a tasty side dish or main course and a must-try.
To make it, just cut the cauliflower into slices, cook it with a bit of extra virgin olive oil, and finally add tomato sauce, mozzarella, or smoked provola cheese.
A recipe so simple that it will help you get children to eat cauliflower.

- 1 cauliflower
- 1 1/4 cups tomato sauce
- 3 1/2 oz provola (or mozzarella)
- extra virgin olive oil

Steps for Cauliflower alla Pizzaiola
Preparing cauliflower alla pizzaiola is really simple and quick.
First, clean the cauliflower by removing the green leaves and stem, being careful not to break it. Cut into slices about 1 inch thick. Rinse each slice under running water and let excess water drip on a kitchen towel.
Place the cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Add a drizzle of oil and bake for 20 minutes at 340°F.
Meanwhile, prepare the tomato sauce with salt in a small bowl.
Remove the cauliflower from the oven, add the tomato sauce, diced or sliced provola, and bake again for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
You can now serve this delicious side dish, healthy and very tasty.
