This is the perfect time for the Christmas tree cake with peanuts and chocolate! It has a very simple batter, one of those pantry-style cakes you can prepare all year round. In this case, however, we decided to make it festive with a themed mold and a bit of nuts, like the in-shell peanuts that are always present on holiday tables. An easy and indulgent recipe to make and share with loved ones during these festive days and perhaps even instead of the usual panettone. Fold in the chocolate chips (previously dusted with flour) and the chopped peanuts. Pour the batter into a Christmas tree-shaped pan and level the surface with the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle with the coarse sugar, a few peanuts halved and finish with powdered sugar.
Transfer the cake to a preheated oven at 356°F and bake for 25 minutes, performing the classic toothpick test.
Once removed from the oven and completely cooled, the Christmas tree cake with peanuts and chocolate is ready to be served.
