- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 8
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup milk
- vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
- 3 oz 70% dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp butter
Steps
Beat the softened butter with the sugar until pale and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and fold it into the batter in two additions, alternating with the milk. Add a pinch of salt and gently mix until you obtain a smooth, homogeneous batter.
Divide the batter among the molds that have been well buttered, filling them about two-thirds full.
Bake in a static (conventional) oven preheated to 338°F for 20–25 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack.
Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate glaze. Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl. Heat the cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and stir gently until you obtain a smooth ganache. Add the butter and mix thoroughly until incorporated.
Let the glaze cool for a few minutes, until it reaches a pourable consistency. Then pour the glaze over each cake, letting it drip naturally down the sides.
Finally, decorate as desired with colorful sprinkles and let set for a few minutes before serving.
The mini bundt cakes with chocolate glaze are ready to enjoy!
