Burger buns are a fundamental element for a perfect hamburger. These are soft and slightly sweet buns, with a flat shape and a consistency that allows them to absorb the juices from the meat and other ingredients without breaking. In this case, they are super quick because the amount of yeast used is higher. However, if you have time available, you could naturally use less yeast and extend the rising times. To prepare perfect burger buns, it’s important to use quality ingredients and follow the recipe carefully. Here are some tips:
Use the right flour: Manitoba flour is ideal for buns, as it has a high gluten content which gives elasticity to the dough.
Don’t overwork the dough: Overworked dough will be tough and poorly risen.
Let the dough rise: Rising is essential to obtain soft and light buns.
Bake the buns at a moderate temperature: Too high a temperature could burn the outside of the buns and leave them raw inside.
