Oat and chocolate cookies with espresso coffee: a recipe rich in fiber and Omega-3 for a healthy breakfast.
After the oat and cocoa cookies and those with puffed millet, pistachios and red fruits, for my new version of oat cookies I didn’t want a superficial flavor; I wanted a full sensory experience, and so the cookies with espresso coffee and chocolate were born. They are ideal for anyone looking for a balanced breakfast, a post-workout fit snack, or an energetic treat without giving up the pleasure of a little indulgence.
Why are these ingredients a winning choice?
In this recipe, every element was chosen for its nutritional properties, creating a perfect balance of fiber, healthy fats and slow-release sugars. Specifically, you should know that oat flour and type 1 semi-whole flour ensure a high fiber content, essential for satiety and stable blood sugar. The walnuts and hazelnuts provide Omega-3s and minerals, and give a crunch that makes every bite a sensory experience. Coconut sugar has an intense caramel-like flavor and a lower glycemic index compared to regular sugar. Finally, dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and can have positive effects on cardiovascular and nervous system health. Because wellness also passes through good mood!
