Apple and plum cake soft, tender, and delicious. How good are Apple Cakes! And today, to make my Apple Cake even better, I added some sweet plums besides apples. The result was amazing! A soft, tender, and fragrant dessert that instantly filled my house with its irresistible aroma. Apples are known to always make desserts special, just like my Quick Apple Cakes or the Apple Muffins. A soft, moist inside, and very fragrant cake, perfect for breakfast, a snack, or any time of the day. I baked the cake in a 20 x 28 cm rectangular pan, but with the same doses, you can also use a 24-26 cm round pan. Have I already convinced you to try it? Ingredients for the Apple and Plum Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar (+ 4 tablespoons for decoration)
  • 1 apple (large)
  • 14 oz plums
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 1/2 tbsps butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 packet baking powder for desserts (8 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Prepare the Apple and Plum Cake

  • Beat the 2 eggs with the sugar using an electric mixer for 5-7 minutes until you have a light and fluffy mixture.

  • Add the melted butter and milk to the eggs. Mix

  • Add the sifted flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Mix

  • Clean the apple and cut it into small cubes. Wash the plums and cut them into small pieces.

  • Add the apple and plum cubes to the batter and mix with a spatula to incorporate them into the batter

  • Pour the batter into a greased or parchment paper-lined 8.7 x 11 inches rectangular pan. Level with a spatula

  • Sprinkle the surface with 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Bake the Apple and Plum Cake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 35-40 minutes

  • Always do the toothpick test to check cooking even inside the cake. Let the cake cool before transferring it to a tray

If you prefer, you can replace the butter with 50 ml of seed oil and the milk with the same amount of plant milk or with a jar of plain yogurt
