Baked apples my simple recipe and perfect. This morning, I suddenly craved Oven-baked Apples, a delightful comfort food that often warms my winter evenings. Indeed, according to the calendar, we should be in spring, yet looking through the windows of my house, it seems more like a gray autumn than a warm spring. So here is my favorite sweet cuddle for today. We often associate Baked apples with hospital food, for the elderly and sick, but I don’t think that’s true at all, and with this recipe, I want to show you that even a simple Oven-baked Apple can sweeten your day as much as a bar of chocolate or a cup of ice cream. I recommend you also try my Baked Apple Fritters or my Grandma’s Apple Cake. Few and very simple ingredients, put them in the oven, and in a few minutes, the magic is revealed: a wrinkled skin and an ultra-creamy filling that literally melts in your mouth. For the taste, I’ll let you imagine… the scent of apples, honey and cinnamon, and a pinch of memories that smell of the sweetness of good old-fashioned things. For the apples, I chose the classic golden yellow apples which remain softer, but any type of apple is fine, I just recommend using all of one type for even cooking. Have I convinced you to make them? Then hurry to the kitchen, take your apples from the fridge, and let’s prepare a sweet cuddle together, make them in plenty because the next day they are even better

Ingredients for Oven-baked Apples
- 4 Golden apples
- 1.4 oz raisins
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp water
What you need
- Apple Corer
The perfect Baked Apples recipe
Wash the apples. With the help of an apple corer, remove the internal core creating a hole. Place the prepared apples in a suitably sized baking dish so they can stand next to each other upright.
Place the raisins and a tablespoon of sugar inside each apple. Drizzle the apples with honey and sprinkle them with ground cinnamon. Add 3 tablespoons of water to the bottom of the baking dish, so they cook well without sticking, and the evaporating water will make them very soft.
Bake the Apples in the preheated oven at 375°F in static mode for about 23-25 minutes. You can enjoy them hot, warm, or even at room temperature.

Loredana’s Tips
If there are leftover cooked apples, store them in a container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Just warm them for a few minutes in the oven, microwave, or bain-marie, and your cuddle is served.
And if you want to indulge, serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard.
