Baked breaded cuttlefish or air-fried, crispy and very tender. Today I want to tell you how I prepared very tender fresh breaded cuttlefish in the air fryer. I simply coated the cuttlefish cut into pieces with a breading and then cooked it in the convection oven. The cuttlefish were crispy on the outside and very tender inside, very simple to prepare and delicious. A tasty and flavorful fish-based main course that you can prepare in a few minutes, the only difficulty is cleaning the cuttlefish, but I explain how to do it or have your trusted fishmonger help you. How to prepare Baked Cuttlefish
If you buy fresh cuttlefish which still need cleaning, don’t worry, the task is not complex: just remove the eyes, peel the head, and carefully remove both the internal bone and the ink sac. This requires a bit of attention to avoid breaking the sac.
Cut the cuttlefish into strips and let them dry on paper towels. Transfer the cuttlefish into a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix with 2 tablespoons to coat the cuttlefish well. This step will ensure that the breading sticks to the cuttlefish.
Mix the breadcrumbs with finely chopped parsley, minced garlic clove, and a pinch of pepper in a bowl. Pour the prepared breading over the cuttlefish and mix with 2 tablespoons to help it adhere. Transfer the cuttlefish to a baking sheet, arranging them in a single layer without overlapping too much.
Oil the cuttlefish and let them cook in the air fryer at 390°F for 16-18 minutes or in a preheated static oven at the same temperature for 20 minutes. I recommend checking the cooking because the times depend on the size of the cuttlefish.

For a tastier breading, you can add capers and/or chopped anchovies to the breadcrumbs.
