BAKED PASTA WITH CHEESES a tasty and flavorful main course

Creamy baked pasta with cheeses, stringy and with an irresistible crispy crust. Today, I want to tell you about the recipe for a special Baked Pasta main course. At my house, on Sundays and holidays, baked pasta takes center stage along with pasta with Ragù or mixed sauce. Today I wanted to try a version of White Baked Pasta seasoned with creamy béchamel and cheese to make it flavorful and stringy. The recipe is simple and quick, especially if you prepare the béchamel in advance or, for convenience, you can use ready-made béchamel. For the cheeses to use, I used scamorza, gorgonzola with mascarpone, grated parmesan, and emmental; but you can vary by replacing the cheeses you don’t like or adding others you prefer. I didn’t want to add any deli meats, but if you want a richer and more flavorful dish, you can add cooked ham or speck in small pieces. Have I already convinced you to try it? Ingredients for the Baked Gratin Pasta

  • 12.7 oz pasta (any shape you prefer)
  • 1.69 cups béchamel
  • 1.76 oz grated parmesan
  • 7.05 oz gorgonzola and mascarpone
  • 6.35 oz emmental
  • 7.05 oz scamorza
  • to taste salt

How to prepare Baked Pasta with Cheeses

  • First, prepare the Béchamel sauce. Here you can find my recipe on How to make béchamel sauce at home. If you prefer, for convenience, you can use ready-made béchamel. Cook the pasta, any shape you prefer, in plenty of salted water.

  • Cut the cheeses into small pieces. Drain the pasta al dente. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of béchamel into a bowl. Add the pasta, pour in the béchamel, the small pieces of cheese, and half of the grated parmesan.

  • Mix well with 2 tablespoons. Transfer the seasoned pasta into an oven dish and sprinkle it with the remaining grated parmesan. Let the Pasta with Cheeses bake in a preheated static oven at 392°F for 18-20 minutes. Set the oven to grill in the last few minutes of cooking for an irresistible gratin.

If leftover Pasta remains, store it in a container in the refrigerator for 2 days. You just need to heat it up for a few minutes in the hot oven or microwave to make it taste freshly made again
