Baked salmon with potatoes a simple and delicious fish main course. The recipe I want to tell you about today is one based on fresh salmon and potatoes. A simple recipe with guaranteed success that was very popular in my house. Very easy to make, showy, tasty, and liked by everyone, big and small. A perfect dish even if you have guests for lunch. A clever recipe because in one go you prepare a delicious main course with a side dish. Salmon is a good source of protein, vitamins (B6 and B12), minerals, and omega 3 fatty acids. It is suitable for a balanced diet for everyone. I always prefer to buy fresh salmon in slices or fillets rather than a whole salmon which would be too big for my small family. I added thinly sliced potatoes to the salmon for a delicious and perfect dish. If you like salmon, this is a recipe not to be missed. Let’s head to the kitchen and prepare a delicious Baked Salmon with Potatoes together.

Ingredients for Baked Salmon with Potatoes
- 4 pieces salmon
- 21.16 oz potatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsps aromatic herbs
- to taste salt
- 2 pinches pepper
How to prepare Baked Salmon with Potatoes
Peel the potatoes, wash them and slice them thinly with the help of a mandoline. If you prefer, you can also slice them by hand, but be sure to cut very thin slices.
Grease a baking dish. Cover the bottom of the baking dish with 2/3 of the potato slices, overlapping them. Make one layer over another. Salt the potatoes. Now place the salmon pieces on the potatoes. Salt the salmon. Insert the 2 cloves of garlic between the salmon slices.
Cover the fish with potato slices, chopped aromatic herbs, and a pinch of pepper. Drizzle with oil and pour half a glass of water into the side of the baking dish. Cook the Baked Salmon with Potatoes in the hot oven at 375°F in static mode for 25 minutes. I added fresh mint leaves at the end of cooking for a special fragrance.
