Chicken with mushrooms a delicious and tasty main course. The recipe I want to tell you about today is that of a simple and delicious main course to prepare. A few slices of chicken breast, delicious cardoncelli mushrooms, and in a few minutes, you can bring to the table a dish that everyone will love. For extra creaminess, I added some creamy cheese to the dish, and the result was a special dish. The chicken is very tender and immersed in a creamy sauce perfect for scooping up with bread. Ingredients for Chicken Breast with Mushrooms

  • 14 oz chicken breast
  • 1.1 lbs cardoncelli mushrooms
  • 4 oz spreadable cheese (like Philadelphia)
  • 4 tbsps tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • as needed extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • as needed salt

How to Prepare Chicken with Mushrooms

  • Clean the mushrooms by removing the earthy end part. Wash them quickly under running water or simply wipe them with kitchen paper towels. Cut them into pieces not too small. Pour 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the garlic clove, and the mushrooms into a pan.

  • Let the mushrooms cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes. Add the tomato sauce to the pan, adjust the salt, and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes covering the pan with a lid.

  • While the mushrooms are cooking, prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breast into medium-sized pieces. Coat the chicken in flour, shaking off the excess. Transfer the cooked mushrooms into a bowl. Pour 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and the chicken into the same pan. Let it brown for a few minutes over medium heat, turning it on all sides.

  • Pour the mushrooms back into the pan with the chicken. Also add the creamy cheese, chopped parsley, and a pinch of pepper. Mix well and let it flavor over low heat, covering the pan with a lid for 3-4 minutes.
