Ingredients for the Christmas Canapés

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 7 oz cream cheese
  • 3 oz canned tuna in oil
  • 4 oz pickled vegetables

How to prepare the Fancy Christmas Canapés

  • Remove the darker edges from the slices of white bread. Crumble it into a bowl simply with your hands. Add the cream cheese, like Philadelphia. Drain the oil from a can of tuna and add it to the mixture.

  • Cut the pickled vegetables into very small pieces and add them to the mixture. Mix with a fork. If the mixture is too hard, add 2 tablespoons of milk. With slightly dampened hands, form small balls of the same size.

  • As you prepare them, place them on a serving dish. Let them firm up for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. They are already pretty as is, but if you want to present them in an even more Christmassy way, do as I did and place small hooks taken from your Christmas balls with a little ribbon on top.
