CREAMY PASTA WITH SHRIMP

Creamy pasta with shrimp is a delicious and wonderful first course. The recipe I want to tell you about today is a very simple seafood first course to prepare and so, so good. To prepare this recipe, I used fresh shrimp and a few other ingredients, but if you prefer, prawns are also fine, as well as frozen shrimp. A creamy sauce envelops the pasta, making it exquisite; for the pasta, I used farfalle, but any other pasta shape, short or long, and even fresh pasta is fine. A seafood first course that wins everyone over at the first bite and is perfect for impressing at the table and preparing something special for your guests, even in its simplicity. So let’s run to the kitchen and prepare the Pasta with shrimp together.

Ingredients for Farfalle with Shrimp

  • 11 oz farfalle (or other shape)
  • 1.5 lbs shrimp
  • 3.5 oz tomato sauce
  • 3.5 oz fresh spreadable cheese (like Philadelphia)
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • to taste salt

How to Prepare Creamy Pasta with Shrimp

  • First, clean the shrimp by removing the head, shell, and then use a toothpick to remove the black intestinal vein. Rinse them under running water and let them drain. Pour 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and a clove of garlic into a large pan.

  • Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Deglaze with the white wine and let it evaporate. Meanwhile, cook the pasta of your choice in plenty of salted water. Pour the tomato sauce into the pan and season with salt.

  • Cook for 3-4 minutes and add the fresh spreadable cheese and a few tablespoons of the pasta cooking water. Stir and turn off the heat after a minute. Drain the pasta al dente and transfer it directly into the pan with the sauce. A pinch of pepper and a sprinkle of chopped parsley, stir well. Serve the Pasta with shrimp immediately.
