Ingredients for Sausage with Friggitelli

  • 1.1 lbs green peppers
  • 1.1 lbs sausage
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • to taste salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

How to prepare Green peppers with sausage in a pan

  • Clean the peppers. Cut off the stem and the upper part. Split them in half and remove the seeds and internal filaments. Place them in a colander and rinse under running water, let them drain. This way you will also remove any remaining seeds.

  • Cut the sausage into small pieces. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil into a pan. Add a clove of garlic and the peppers. Let cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat. You will immediately notice that the peppers soften, losing volume.

  • Add the sausage to the pan. Season with salt and add a pinch of pepper. Stir and let cook for another 10 minutes, stirring often with a wooden spoon. At the end of cooking, remove the garlic clove and serve
