Ingredients for Puff Pastry Bites with Asparagus
- 1 puff pastry (rectangular)
- 1.1 lbs asparagus
- 3.5 oz speck
- 5.3 oz scamorza (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons milk (for brushing)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Steps
Clean the asparagus by removing the tough part of the stem. Wash them and let them blanch in boiling water for 4 minutes. You don’t need to cook them completely, just soften them slightly because they will finish cooking in the oven.
Roll out the rectangular puff pastry sheet on your work surface and cut it into squares approximately 2.4-2.8 inches per side.
Place a slice of speck and a slice of cheese in the center of each square.
Place 4 asparagus on top. Close the puff pastry by joining two opposite corners.
Place each puff pastry bite on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper as you prepare them.
Brush them with milk and decorate with sesame seeds.
Bake the Puff Pastry Bites in a preheated oven at 375°F in static mode for 18-20 minutes.
