Puff pastry with pears and ricotta delicious and special. Making a dessert has never been this easy! Just a few sheets of phyllo dough, ricotta, and pears are all that’s needed for today’s recipe. Phyllo dough is made up of very thin almost transparent sheets that originated in Central Asia and are widespread throughout the Middle East. With phyllo dough, you can make the Turkish Borek, a recipe we know from the now widespread Turkish TV series. Today it was the main ingredient in my pear treats. Ingredients for Phyllo Dough Rolls with Pears
- 6 sheets phyllo dough
- 1.1 lbs pears
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
How to Make Puff Pastry with Pears and Ricotta
Mix the ricotta with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Peel and clean the pears and slice them thinly. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces.
Divide each phyllo sheet into 2 parts. Fold each portion in half and brush with water to prevent it from drying. Spread the ricotta cream on one side of each phyllo sheet. Add pear slices and chocolate pieces on top of the ricotta cream.
Roll the phyllo dough over the filling. Arrange the Rolls with pears on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with water or milk and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake the Phyllo Dough Puff Pastries in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 16-18 minutes.
