Ingredients for Sausage in a Pan with White Wine
- 1.3 lbs sausage
- 3 oz black olives (pitted)
- 1 white onion (medium)
- 1/2 cup white wine
- as needed extra virgin olive oil
- 4 sprigs marjoram
- as needed salt
How to Prepare Sausage in a Pan with Black Olives
You can choose to use pork sausage, as I did, or chicken, veal, or mixed sausage. Cut the sausage into pieces. Clean a medium white onion and slice it thinly.
Pour 3-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the onion, and the sausage into a pan. Let it brown over medium heat for a few minutes on high heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
When the sausage is browned on all sides, pour in the white wine. Add the black olives and adjust the salt. Let the white wine evaporate over medium heat. Finally, add sprigs of marjoram or rosemary for a delicious aroma.
