Ingredients for the Savory Tart with Pears

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (round)
  • 600 g Coscia pears
  • 250 g gorgonzola and mascarpone
  • 30 g walnut kernels
  • 1 pinch pepper

How to prepare the Savory Tart with Pears and Gorgonzola

  • Wash the pears, clean them, and cut them into thin slices. I preferred not to peel them first, but you can also choose to peel them. Line a 9-10 inch round baking pan covered with parchment paper with a sheet of puff pastry. Prick the bottom with a fork.

  • Cover with many slices of pear slightly overlapping each other. Distribute many pieces of gorgonzola with mascarpone over the pears. Make another layer of pears. Finish with the remaining mascarpone, distributing it in mounds over the pears and finally a pinch of pepper and the walnut kernels in small pieces.

  • Bake the Savory Tart with Gorgonzola and Pears in a static oven preheated to 375°F for 25-30 minutes. I recommend enjoying it warm with a drizzle of honey which goes perfectly with the pears and gorgonzola!
