Ingredients for Pasta with Mussels
- 11.25 oz spaghetti
- 1.76 lbs mussels
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 3 hot peppers
- 1 bunch parsley
- to taste salt
How to prepare Spaghetti with Mussels
First, clean the mussels, which is also the longest operation for preparing this dish. Wash them under running water and transfer them to a large pan. Cover with a lid and let the mussels open over high heat for a few minutes. Shake the pan occasionally to mix the mussels and let them all open. Drain the liquid that has formed in the pan and filter it with a sieve.
Pour into the pan with the mussels 2 cloves of garlic chopped into small pieces, chopped hot peppers, and 4-5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Let it fry for 2 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water. Drain the spaghetti 2 minutes before perfect cooking.
Pour them into the mussels pan and add a few tablespoons of the filtered mussel water. Let the pasta finish cooking and blend over medium heat for 2-3 minutes over medium heat, stirring often. At the end of cooking, finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley
