Ingredients for Pasta with Shrimp
- 11.3 oz square spaghetti
- 1.1 lbs shrimp
- 7.1 oz tomato sauce
- 8.8 oz cherry tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- 1 sprig parsley
How to Prepare Spaghetti with Shrimp and Tomato
Clean the shrimp by removing the head and shell. Also, remove the black vein on the back with a toothpick. Rinse them under running water and let them drain. In a large pan, add a clove of garlic, 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, the shrimp, and the cherry tomatoes washed and quartered.
Let them sauté on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring often with a wooden spoon. Add the tomato sauce to the pan, a few tablespoons of water, and season with salt. Let it cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes. In the meantime, cook the pasta type you have chosen in plenty of salted boiling water. Remove the garlic clove from the sauce.
Remove the pasta 2-3 minutes before it is fully cooked and add it to the pan with the sauce. Add a few tablespoons of the pasta cooking water and stir to finish cooking the pasta for 3-4 minutes. This way, the pasta will be very creamy and flavorful. At the end of cooking, add chopped parsley.
