Baked Pasta with Sausage and Peas, an easy and tasty recipe, ideal to serve during Sunday lunch or parties. This main dish is prepared with few simple ingredients: sausage, peas, béchamel and mozzarella or scamorza, and the pasta in the shape you prefer. By doing so, we will bring a rich baked pasta to the table that will satisfy everyone, adults and children.

If you don’t like peas, you can replace them with cauliflower, spinach, zucchini...

Ingredients

Let’s see together what we need to prepare

  • 9 oz pasta
  • 10.5 oz sausage
  • 3.5 oz peas
  • 10.5 oz béchamel
  • 3 oz mozzarella (or scamorza)
  • 2 oz mixed vegetables for sauté
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt

  • 1 Wooden Spoon

Steps

Let’s start cooking

  • Let’s start preparing the Baked Pasta with Sausage and Peas: heat a few tablespoons of olive oil in a pan before adding the mixed vegetables for sauté. Let them sizzle for a few moments, then add the sausage without the casing and sauté over high heat until it changes color. Add the peas and let them cook for a couple of minutes with the other ingredients.

  • Deglaze with half a cup of white wine and continue cooking for another 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add the béchamel. Mix all the ingredients until they are well combined. The pasta sauce is ready.

    Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water, making sure to drain it very al dente.

    Drain the pasta and pour it into the pan with the prepared sauce (if necessary, add a little pasta cooking water)

    Take a baking dish and oil it, transfer half the portion into the dish alternating with slices of mozzarella. Cover with the remaining pasta, pressing it well with the back of a spoon.

    Finish by sprinkling the grated Parmesan cheese, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30 minutes, turning on the grill 5 minutes before taking it out
