Breadcrumb Peppers, or peppers with breadcrumbs, is a quick and really delicious side dish to prepare. It is ready in no time. Breadcrumb Peppers are loved by everyone, ideal to serve as a side dish, but also among appetizers and on summer buffet tables. Breadcrumb Peppers are cooked in a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and seasoned with capers and garlic and at the end of cooking mixed with toasted bread.
They are truly a delight!!

Ingredients
LET’S SEE TOGETHER WHAT WE NEED TO PREPARE
- 3 yellow bell peppers
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- salt

Let’s start preparing
Breadcrumb Peppers
Steps
Wash the peppers thoroughly, cut them in half and remove the white filaments.
Slice them into strips; to taste, I prefer thin ones
Pour the extra virgin olive oil into a pan and sauté the garlic for 2 minutes.
Add the peppers and cook them covered for 10-15 minutes. If necessary, add a little water during cooking.
Halfway through cooking, add the capers and salt. Let them cook for another 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in another pan, toast the breadcrumbs with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil until slightly golden.
When the peppers are cooked, add the toasted breadcrumbs and mix.
