Ingredients

LET’S SEE TOGETHER WHAT WE NEED TO PREPARE

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/5 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp alchermes
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • as needed powdered sugar

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Hand whisk

Steps

Let’s start preparing the

  • Let’s start preparing the CRACKED COOKIES with ALCHERMES, place the very soft butter in a bowl,

    Add the granulated sugar and use a hand whisk to mix well until you get a smooth and homogeneous cream.

    Add the egg, salt and continue to mix.

  • Add alchermes and mix everything.

    Add the flour with baking powder sifted directly over the mixture and incorporate it well, initially with the hand whisk then using your hands.

    Knead well and quickly and when you have obtained a smooth dough, wrap it in cling film.

    Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

    After the resting time, remove the dough from the refrigerator and cut pieces weighing 25 grams each.

    Roll them quickly between the palms of your hands to form balls, and place them on a flat plate.

    Place the powdered sugar in a small bowl and roll each cookie in it. Repeat the operation a second time and gently place each cookie on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, spacing them slightly apart.

    Bake at 340 degrees (static oven, preheated) for 10 minutes.
