Ingredients

Let’s see together what we need to prepare

  • 2 1/2 cups re-milled durum wheat semolina
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking ammonia
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • raw cane sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Steps

Let’s start preparing

  • Let’s start preparing the dunking biscuits: pour the flour into a bowl along with the sugar, vanilla, and salt. Mix everything well, then add the oil, milk, egg, and baking ammonia.

  • Knead well until you get a homogeneous dough.

     Take portions of dough and shape the biscuit

    Slightly flatten it and pass it through the raw cane sugar.

    Continue this way until the dough is finished

    Arrange the biscuits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake them in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 15-20 minutes. The biscuits should be well golden.

    Remove from the oven and let them cool.
