Pasta and Onions

Pasta and Onions is a quick and tasty first course, an ideal recipe for when you have little time to spend in the kitchen: the sauce, in fact, is easily prepared in just a few minutes while the pasta cooks. Perfect for a family lunch or with friends, it wins everyone over with its delicacy. To prepare pasta and onions, we need only two ingredients that we all have in the pantry such as pasta and onions, and in no time we prepare a super dish.

Ingredients

Let’s see together what we need to prepare

  • 4 red onions
  • 12 oz pasta (tagliatelle or penne, spaghetti..)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • coarse salt
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • pepper
  • cheese (grated)

  • 1 Frying Pan
  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Knife

Steps

Let’s start preparing

  • Let’s start preparing the pasta and onions;  peel the onions, cut them into thin slices. Pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil into a frying pan and add the onions.

    Cook for 35-40 minutes on a very low flame with a good pinch of coarse salt.

    When they are nice and soft, raise the flame and deglaze with the wine.

  • Cook without a lid for 5 minutes.
    Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water.

    Drain the pasta al dente and toss it in the frying pan, stirring a few times to distribute the sauce evenly

    Finish with a sprinkle of pepper and cheese, mix well. Serve pasta and onions immediately.
