Poured Cake with Jam

Poured cake with jam, an easy recipe. It’s a soft cake, suitable for breakfast or a snack, with a jam filling that doesn’t settle at the bottom, thanks to the double baking process. The poured cake, whether with jam, hazelnut cream, or any other cream, will win you over with the first bite. It’s a very simple and quick dessert to prepare.

Ingredients

LET’S SEE TOGETHER WHAT WE NEED TO PREPARE

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (grated)
  • 1 jar jam

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Baking Pan

Steps

Let’s begin preparing

  • Let’s start preparing the poured cake with jam: pour the sugar and eggs into a bowl. Work with a whisk until you get a fluffy mixture.
    Add the milk and oil, then the sifted flour with the baking powder. Continue to mix everything.

  • Now, add the lemon zest and mix.
    Pour 2/3 of the batter into the mold and bake for 10 minutes.
    After this time, take out the mold, spread a layer of jam, leaving about 1/2 inch of edge free.

Pour the remaining batter.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes. Do the toothpick test to be sure the cake is ready.
Let it cool before transferring it to the serving plate and dusting it with powdered sugar.
