Quick Flatbread, a delightful and simple focaccia to make, filled with cooked ham and thinly sliced cheese. The dough is quick to make, without yeast, and easy to roll out because it is not sticky. The quick flatbread is excellent served as an appetizer or perfect savory snack and it is very easy to prepare. For the filling, you can vary with other types of cold cuts, or use a cheese like provola, smoked scamorza… fontina.

- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup water
- salt
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 3.5 oz cooked ham (cooked, salami, speck.)
- 3.5 oz cheese (provola, stracchino, crescenza.)

Let’s start preparing
Let’s start preparing the Quick Flatbread, pour the flour into the bowl, add the water and the extra virgin olive oil. Start kneading the ingredients, then add the salt and continue to work until you obtain a soft and smooth dough.
Divide the dough into two equal parts, on a lightly floured work surface roll out the two pieces with a rolling pin obtaining two rather thin sheets.
Grease the baking pan and place one sheet on the bottom.
Fill it with a layer of cooked ham and thinly sliced cheese.
Cover with the other sheet and seal the edges well by rolling them up.
With the tines of a fork, prick the surface of the flatbread.Brush the entire flatbread with extra virgin olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 20 minutes until it is slightly golden.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately, very hot, your quick flatbread.And enjoy your meal!!
