The dough of the stuffed pita contains flour, water, salt, olive oil, a teaspoon of instant yeast. Just mix the ingredients first in a bowl and then knead by hand. Once the dough is ready just divide into equal portions and roll them out by hand to form discs. Then just fill and cook for a few minutes in a pan and our stuffed pita is ready to enjoy!

- 3/4 cup flour
- 3 1/3 tbsp water
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 slices cooked ham
- 2 slices scamorza cheese
- to taste tomato sauce

Let’s start preparing the Stuffed Pita on the Stove: mix the flour, water, oil, salt, and yeast in a bowl, work it all until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough. Divide the dough into two pieces and roll out each portion into a thin disc.
Fill the disc with tomato sauce, slices of cooked ham, and scamorza cheese.
Close the pita by bringing the edges of the discs towards the center and press to seal the closing points.
Heat a non-stick pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Cook the pita for about 3 minutes on each side, pressing lightly with a spatula.
Serve the pita hot and crispy.
