Notes

– If you don’t have the classic Mug cups available, you can also use ceramic or Pyrex bowls of roughly the same size… the only difference will be that instead of being tall and narrow, you’ll have a small cake!

– You can also prepare the mug cake gluten-free: simply replace the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free cake mix.

– If you prefer a “white” dessert, replace the unsweetened cocoa with the same amount of flour.

– As mentioned earlier, you can add nuts, chocolate chips, fresh fruit, and whatever else you like to the batter!
