Ingredients

  • 3 red bell peppers
  • 1.75 oz black olives
  • 1.4 oz breadcrumbs

  • to taste salt

Tools

  • 1 Air Fryer

Steps

To prepare the air fryer breaded bell peppers, first wash the peppers, dry them carefully, remove the cap, cut them in half, and remove the internal white filaments and seeds, then cut them into strips (or coarsely chopped pieces).

Transfer the peppers to a large bowl, add salt, pitted black olives, and extra virgin olive oil (4/5 tablespoons), and mix well.

Add breadcrumbs to your liking and continue mixing to distribute evenly over all the peppers.

Line the air fryer basket with a parchment paper mold (alternatively, you can use a sheet of parchment paper) and pour in the seasoned peppers. Cook at 356°F for 20/25 minutes. During cooking, stir the peppers a couple of times to cook evenly.

Once cooked, you can serve the breaded bell peppers hot or, if you prefer, warm.

Storage

The air fryer breaded bell peppers can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days in a container with an airtight seal. Before consuming, you can reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes.

If you want to make the peppers even more delicious, you can add chopped parsley or grated cheese to mix with the breadcrumbs.
