Ingredients
- 2 flatbreads
- 8.8 oz mozzarella for pizza
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- to taste basil
- to taste salt
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Tools
- 1 Air Fryer
Steps
Preparing the piadicalzone in the air fryer is really simple. First, cut the mozzarella into strips. Then, season the tomato sauce with a couple of pinches of salt and a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Mix to combine everything.
Now proceed to fill the flatbreads: spread the tomato sauce on half of each flatbread, add the mozzarella strips and fold into a half-moon shape. Use the tines of a fork to press the edges and seal everything well.
Distribute a little tomato sauce and a few strips of mozzarella also on the surface of the flatbreads. Depending on the size of your air fryer, cook one flatbread at a time (or both) for about 7 minutes at a temperature of 356 °F.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake in a static oven at 356 °F for about 15 minutes.
After the cooking time, remove and serve your piadicalzones hot.
Storage
You can store the air fryer piadicalzone for one day in the refrigerator, inside an airtight container. When ready to eat, reheat it for a few minutes in the air fryer.
