On a cutting board, slice the mozzarella and then cut it into strips.

Take the basket of the air fryer and line it with parchment paper. Dip half of the sandwich bread slices into the egg mixture and place them in the basket to form a layer.

Place a couple of mozzarella strips on each slice of sandwich bread. Dip the remaining sandwich bread slices into the egg and use them to cover the first layer. Add a dollop of butter on each sandwich bread rectangle.

Cook in the air fryer at 338°F for about 15 minutes, or until the sandwich bread is golden. Turn halfway through cooking.

Remove, let cool for a few minutes, then portion and serve. Enjoy your meal!

Storage

You can store the air fryer sandwich bread in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one day. Before consuming, reheat it for a few minutes.

To make the sandwich bread tastier, you can add cooked ham to the mozzarella strips. Also, you can coat each slice of sandwich bread, after passing it in the egg, with breadcrumbs to achieve a crunchier texture.
