Crispy bacon is really simple to prepare, perfect for filling gourmet sandwiches or a savory breakfast, great for accompanying pancakes or scrambled eggs (a typical American breakfast).
Bacon, unlike pork belly which is derived exclusively from the belly, can come from different cuts of the pig such as the shoulder or back. Cooking takes just a few minutes.
If you want to make your sandwich even more tasty, you can prepare some delicious caramelized onions.

Procedure for Crispy Bacon
To prepare bacon, it is not necessary to add fats, as during cooking the bacon will release its own.
Place the bacon slices (they should not be too thin) without overlapping or folding them in a pan and cook them over medium heat. Let them cook for about 5 minutes, or until they start to color and wrinkle. Turn them over and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes.
Once cooked, place the bacon in a container lined with paper towels to absorb excess fat. Your crispy bacon is ready to be used to fill sandwiches, accompany delicious scrambled eggs, or savory pancakes.
Tips
If you do not use the bacon immediately, you can store it in the oven previously preheated and then turned off.
