Baked Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs are truly delicate and delicious. Great as an appetizer, but also as a main dish. This recipe can be adapted to any taste, as the filling to be gratinated can be flavored, according to your needs, with vegetables, cheese, meat, fish, basically with whatever you prefer. The ingredients of this basic recipe are very few, but the result is excellent, and in just 30 minutes, you will have a truly delicious dish. How to Prepare Baked Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs
To prepare the Baked Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs, organize your workspace with all the ingredients pre-measured.
This way, you’ll have everything at hand, making your work easier and faster.
Start by boiling the eggs in a saucepan with cold water, and as soon as they start to boil, count 8-10 minutes for cooking.
Once cooked, drain them and let them cool, preferably in cold water.
Preheat the oven to 392°F (200°C).
Shell the eggs by slightly cracking the shell on all sides, and cut them in half.
Remove the yolks, placing them in a bowl along with the extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt.
Blend everything with the immersion blender, and if necessary, add one or two tablespoons of water (one at a time) to make the mixture creamier.
Fill the white part of your hard-boiled eggs with the filling and place them in a tray lined with parchment paper.
At this point, before baking, sprinkle the eggs with breadcrumbs and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the surface of the eggs is browned.
Meanwhile, wash the chives, dry them, and chop them into small pieces.
Serve your Baked Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs warm or cold… they will be delicious either way, decorated with fresh chives.
Tips, Variations, and Storage
The gratinated hard-boiled eggs can be perfectly stored for a few days in the refrigerator, but in an airtight container.
You can enrich my basic recipe with whatever you prefer: meat, fish, vegetables, cheese… they will always be delicious.
If they are intended to be served at any kind of event, you can prepare in advance by cooking the eggs a few days earlier.
