The Christmas Tree Shaped Quiche is truly delicious but above all super quick, because the necessary ingredients are already ready. With a package of shortcrust pastry, a bag of frozen vegetable mix, a piece of cheese, some speck, heavy cream, and eggs, you’re all set. So nothing could be simpler, to be made in no time and that will make a great impression when you put it on the table. If you don’t have a tree-shaped mold, you can also choose to make it with a square one, measuring 8 inches per side. Is it too small for your needs? No problem, just increase the doses considering the proportions. One thing is certain: in any shape you serve it, everyone, adults and children, always loves it.
For the procedure I made a small video, to be seen on the pages of Facebook Instagram and Pinterest

How to Prepare the Christmas Tree Shaped Quiche
To prepare the Christmas Tree Shaped Quiche, organize your workspace with all the ingredients already measured.
This way, you’ll have everything at hand, and your work will be easier and faster.
Put the frozen vegetable mix in a pan with 10.5 oz of cold water.
Cook it for about 10 minutes, but lower the heat and start timing from the boiling point.
Once cooked, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
Note: I redid this recipe by sautéing the vegetables in the pan with a drizzle of oil and I must say the result is decidedly better: tastier.
Pour the eggs, cream, nutmeg, salt, and pepper into a large bowl and mix.
Add the cheese, speck, cooled vegetable mix, and combine all ingredients until the mixture is homogeneous.
Line a Christmas tree mold with shortcrust pastry, but if it’s not non-stick, line it first with parchment paper.
Cut the pastry along the edges of the tree, but try not to ruin it because it will be needed for the decoration.
Roll the edges of the shortcrust pastry inward to give it thickness, pour the just-prepared mixture inside, and level it.
With a star-shaped cutter, make as many stars as you can from the leftover shortcrust pastry, and arrange them on the quiche as you wish.
Brush the rustic pie with beaten egg, and bake it in a preheated oven at 356°F, letting it cook for about 40 minutes.
I recommend serving your Christmas Tree Shaped Quiche at room temperature to better savor the taste.
Variants, Tips, and Storage
The quiche keeps perfectly in the refrigerator for several days.
It can also be frozen either cooked or ready to bake, so for a special event, you can organize yourself well.
If you don’t like the vegetables contained in a bag of frozen vegetable mix, choose those that best suit your taste.
