Homemade Peach Green Tea, a really refreshing drink and very easy to make at home. Ideal to drink on the hottest days of the year and healthy because it’s free of preservatives and additives. A drink where there is not only the aroma of peach, but the actual fruit. I assure you that making it is really child’s play, even for those less experienced in cooking and really fast. Once you’ve tasted it, you won’t buy industrial ones anymore. If I can give you some advice, use ripe peaches because the flavor will be more intense. The amount of sugar I proposed is rather indicative, as it should be adapted to your taste. Start by adding a little at a time, as it will be easier to reach the desired sweetness. If you love tea with a stronger flavor, I recommend trying black tea. What are you waiting for, try it now.

- Portions: 1 quart
- Cooking methods: Boiling
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Summer
Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs nectarines
- 3 bags green tea
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- to taste lemon
- to taste fresh mint leaves
Tools
- 1 Blender
- 1 Saucepan
- 1 Glass bottle
Preparation
Wash the peaches thoroughly, preferably ripe, dry them, remove the pit, and cut them first into wedges and then into chunks. Put them directly into the blender and blend finely.
Pour the smoothie into a saucepan, rinse the blender with some of the water we will use, and add it to the rest.
Then add the rest of the water, the sugar, stir and put on the stove. From the moment it starts to boil, count 5 minutes of cooking and, if necessary, skim gradually.
After the necessary time, turn off, add the green tea bags and leave to infuse for 4/5 minutes. Then remove the bags.
Filter the obtained liquid to remove as much pulp as possible and bottle immediately. After letting it cool at room temperature, refrigerate for at least two hours.
Serve our Homemade Peach Green Tea, in large or small glasses with ice and garnished with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
Also delicious hot.
Tips and storage
Peach tea can be kept for at least three days in the refrigerator, but inside a glass bottle or a container with a hermetic seal.
If you don’t like peach, you can prepare it with the same procedure, with the fruit you prefer because it will still be delicious.
As you could see from the images, I don’t filter it too much because I prefer to feel it rather thick while I drink it… it’s up to you
