The Marinated Prawns with Orange and Lemon, a truly exquisite recipe for those who love raw dishes, very easy to make. I usually use fresh ingredients, and in this case, the prawns were alive, but a good frozen alternative is also fine. Ideal as an appetizer for a seafood-based meal, but I won’t hide that sometimes for me and my husband, I serve them as a main course. The ingredients are very few for this delicious dish: orange, lemon, garlic, parsley, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper. Even the procedure does not require great cooking skills, but the result is really excellent. If you don’t like orange peel in strips, you can always grate it because the important thing is the aroma it releases.
For the procedure, I made a short video, which can be viewed on the pages of Facebook Instagram and Pinterest

How to Prepare Marinated Prawns with Orange and Lemon
To prepare Marinated Prawns with Orange and Lemon, organize the work area with all ingredients already measured.
This way, you’ll have everything at hand, and your work will definitely be easier and faster.
Clean the prawns by removing the head and shell.
With a sharp knife, score the top of the shrimp along its entire length and extract the intestine (a sort of black thread) using a toothpick.
Rinse them under running water and dry them well by patting them with paper towels.
Open them like a book without completely splitting them, and place them inside a deep plate.
Wash and dry the untreated orange and lemon thoroughly.
Grate the orange zest with a zester, put it in a small bowl with its juice and add that of half a lemon.
Add the chopped parsley and garlic, along with the extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Combine the marinade ingredients, pour it over the prawns, and cover with food wrap.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour so that the marinade can flavor the prawns well.
Serve the Marinated Prawns with Orange and Lemon right out of the refrigerator, arranging them on a serving plate.
If you like, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Advice, Variants, and Storage
You can also prepare this recipe a few hours in advance, keeping it in the refrigerator for a few hours.
If you can’t find prawns, shrimp or jumbo shrimp will also work.
If you want to add an exotic touch to this dish, use cilantro instead of parsley, lime instead of lemon, and if you like, a pinch of curry.
