How to prepare Oven Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs

To prepare the Oven Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs, set up your workspace with all the ingredients already measured.

This way, you’ll have everything at your fingertips, and your work will surely be simpler and faster

Start by boiling the eggs in a small pot, but with cold water, and as soon as they start to boil, count 8/10 minutes of cooking.

Once cooked, drain them, and let them cool, preferably in cold water.

Preheat the oven to 392°F.

Peel the eggs by slightly cracking the shell on all sides, and cut them in half.

Remove the yolks, placing them in a bowl along with the extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt.

Blend everything with the immersion blender, and if necessary, add one or two tablespoons of water (one at a time), to make the mixture creamier.

Fill the white part of your hard-boiled eggs with the filling, and place them in a baking dish lined with parchment paper.

At this point, before baking, sprinkle bread crumbs on the eggs and let them cook for about 10 minutes, or until the surface of the eggs is browned.

In the meantime, wash the chives, dry them, and cut them into small pieces.

Serve your Oven Gratinated Hard-Boiled Eggs warm, but even cold… they will still be delicious, decorating them with fresh chives.

Advice on Variants and Storage

The gratinated hard-boiled eggs keep perfectly for a few days in the refrigerator, but in an airtight container.

You can enrich my basic recipe with whatever you prefer: meat, fish, vegetables, cheese… because they will always be delicious.

If they are intended to be served for any kind of event, you can cook the eggs even a few days in advance.
